i ice bucket today after practice today. it was the first time in probably a long long time and good lord did that hurt like no other. its really amazing that im playing for the school club team, its something that i never really dreamed about doing before. when we received our jerseys i was just like wow this is really happening im playing for my college. this is going to be a great experience and all the players on the team are great guys and i really look forward to this season.

so first few days of class, ive got to say im really looking forward to most my classes.

econ: professor is an absolute d-bag. he wants us to fear his class because he doesnt think that we should take this class as fun. he tries to scare us with all these numbers and stats, blah blah blah blah blah, stfu. for some reason classes like these really fuel me to prove the professor wrong, but we’ll see about the class soon.

PACS (What Makes People Successful) : great professor, kind and happy. first thing he did was go around and shake everyones hand thanking them to take their class. Apparently he wrote a few textbooks and some colleges actually hired him to be a guest speaker. Hes also a speech language pathologist which is a therapist that specializes in speech disorders. Chill dude, talked to us about his life and how he was in the Vietnam war, and how he adopted a kid. Good class, looking forward to it.

Business Law: This class is legit. Some of my friend from sigma chi are in this class which makes it like 5x better, but the professor is a nice guy. Likes to use videos alot in his class, and also likes to take us on field trips to trials so we can listen and see the principles applied to in real life. Dude has a great sense of humor, love it. Definitely a class to look forward too.

Religion in Asia: First thing i noticed when i walked in was omg this teacher looks like a hippie. Second thought omg she looks like Professor. Trelawney from Harry Potter. REALLY REALLY interesting class shes white hippie lady that can speak chinese, i was like wow major props to you. She knows all about the asain cultures and she went off during the first class. Shes a humble teacher and she tells us that she isnt smarter than us and her answers arent the right ones, she just has more knowledge than us cuz she’s been around for longer, so if we feel something isnt right we have the right to tell her. I was like wow, this is one hell of a teacher here. definitely looking forward to this class.

one month off pure freedom. love it. i think that this is how break should feel like. Being stress free from finals, unlike in high school we had to study a bit during break because finals were right around the corner. it was great seeing old friends from high school esp those that i havent seen in a long time. But break passed by too fast and now im back in the dorm room again and 2nd semester is starting in 2 days. blargh. guess its time to do work again, but i cant wait until spring break >]

Winter break has really been a big reality check for me. It was great seeing all my friends from high school but i also saw how much all of us have matured within this 3-4 month period. Many of us have deeply rooted ourselves in college and took advantage of all the perks that college has provided. Research, internships, projects, whatever theres on line for an undergraduate to grab, my friends have taken one of them. As i thought about myself, this is a brief peek of the future for us. I realized that breaks like these will become more rare because we are going to filled with things to do. When teddy left on the 31st, it hit me that it could very well be another year till i see him, with him in westpoint and army camps in the summer, and i having my internship in the summer i realized it really could be one more year till i see him again. it greatly saddened me that opportunities like these are dwindling, but as we grow older the busier we become and less time we have time to hang out with those close to us.
